How many Trifecta combinations with 20 horses?

In a 20-horse field there are 116,280 possible winning combinations in the superfecta. For the trifecta it is 6,840 and the exacta has 380. If you are going to successfully hit a bet like the superfecta you need to take a stand to help offset the odds of hitting the wager.

20 x 6840 = $136,800 for dollar...Trifecta
20 x 380 = $7600... Exacta

I believe if you box all 20 horses in the tri, there would be 6840 combinations,

So a $ 1 tri box all/all/all would cost $ 6840.

Would have been a "good ??" wager last year with the tri paying around 15 k..................
